Reckless at the St.Lawrence Reading

Over the last six months, I’ve been collaborating with U of T composer Mitch Renaud, in order to pair original music pieces with some of my poems, and original poetry with some of his composed works.  The goal (one among many) is to eventually create an ‘album’ of collaborative work, where poetry and music intersect. Our first endeavour, ‘Reckless,’ which focused on one of the poems from my last chapbook, was recently accepted into the St.Lawrence Reading, one of the most prominent workshops in Canada. Essentially, this happens once a year, when master musicians (and Stanford professors) come to Canada to workshop new compositions out of U of T. It was pretty exciting to find out, and a huge thanks goes out to Mitch for all of his creativity in this piece.
