I’ll be hosting writing workshops in and around York Region during July and August. Please keep an eye on this page if you are interested (details forthcoming), or contact me if you would like to arrange a small group or private class.
I also have extensive experience providing educational workshops to students and teachers in the areas of creative writing, poetry, non-fiction and meta-cognition. As the Head of English for a York Region high school, I’ve had the chance to work with teachers and students on a wide range of issues, and feel very comfortable suiting the workshop to meet individual needs, and/or that of curriculum. Coming up in Fall 2010, I’ll be teaching a master class for young writers at the Kingston Writers Festival, and leading poets and teachers in a workshop on how to share poetry and spoken word effectively in schools, at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word.
